Tell us the saga of Manana. When did your love of horses begin? My (Dennis) question stems from a trip you and I took to a horse training center in Gaithersburg, Maryland. My impression in those early years was that you wanted to become a veterinarian. Why did you stop having horses? Did you enjoy competing in equestrian events. What were your favorite?

You were not particularly athletic in your younger days (as playing H.S. team sports) and yet now you have climbed numerous high mountains with crampons and without and other daring and strenuous things Talk about this journey.
